Project:

GSMA were deploying a new collaboration platform to replace their existing InfoCentre system.  The new system, built on SharePoint 2010 would be InfoCentre². GSMA needed to overcome the issue of training thousands of members of a global organisation on how to use their new system.

Approach:

We worked with our client very closely, helping them to write scripts to get across the content as clearly and succinctly as possible. We used a presenter to simulate the classroom feel, filming in our green-screen studio. The footage was composited with motion-graphics that showed screen-recordings on a mock tablet. This helped to create interesting visuals and make the content more memorable. For videos that needed to explain a complex process, we drew up a flowchart, taking the viewer through a journey, which included composited screen-recordings. The 'Getting Started' video was for all users, so they could get a basic understanding of how to use the main features and to navigate the system successfully.

Then there were a series of videos created for specific roles within the organisation, which included all the ‘need-to-know’ information for each user type. Following those were a series of ‘How To’ videos, which quickly showed how to perform all of the specific, day-to-day tasks anyone might need to know.

"Quick-Start - InfoCentre2"

Our Role:

Concept  development, pre-production, scripting, green screen filming, editing, sound design, animation, motion graphics, screen recording, voiceover.

Result:

GSMA had numerous 'modular' videos on a complex subject matter, which meant their staff could digest and retain the information easily.

The training videos were successfully distributed by GSMA through their private Content Distribution Network (CDN); the “Quick-start InfoCentre²” video is still actively showing on the CDN for training and distribution purposes.
